A brief history of the Canadian National Superior Subdivision:

08/20/21

This massive through truss bridge crosses the Chippewa River, near the small town of Murry in Rusk County.
The bridge contains a pair of 5 panel, riveted Pratt Through Trusses. These trusses have been heavily reconstructed, although they still bear some of the original components.
In addition to the trusses being heavily rebuilt in 2006, the approaches have also been reconstructed since the line was first built. The current approaches are I-Beam spans.
The entire bridge rests on concrete substructures.

The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, not due to the age of the structure, but the heavy alterations detract from it.
